What is Autogas?

Autogas is composed of three parts carbon and eight parts hydrogen making it a highly efficient, low carbon producing fuel. As a result, it is a safer, less expensive alternative fuel with fewer emissions than gasoline.

Where does autogas come from?

With ninety-nine percent of autogas produced in North America, using autogas will help reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Autogas comes from two domestic processes: it is a by-product of both natural gas processing and the crude oil refining process.

Is autogas really an alternative fuel?

Yes. Autogas is an approved, alternative clean fuel listed in the 1990 Clean Air Act and National Energy Policy act of 1992. It in fact burns cleaner than gasoline, largely produced in the United States, and lowers fuel costs.
